Jamal Koubachi

Jamal Koubachi was born in Beni Mellal (Morocco) in 1977. He received his Master's degree in 2004 from Chouaib Doukkali University (Morocco). Then, he received his Ph.D. degree in organic chemistry in 2008 from the University of Orleans (France) under the direction of Professors G. Guillaumet and A. Mouaddib, working on the development and application of palladium-catalyzed direct arylation and alkenylation for the synthesis of various imidazo[1,2-a]pyridine derivatives. Dr. Koubachi conducted a postdoctoral fellowship at the Institute of Molecular and Materials Chemistry of Orsay, University of Paris-Sud (France) with Professor D. Bonnaffé for 2 years. In 2010; he was appointed an Assistant Professor at the Faculty of Polydisciplinaire of Taroudant, University of Ibn Zohr (Agadir), Taroudant, Morocco and subsequently Associate Professor of Organic Chemistry in 2016. In 2023, he was appointed as Full Professor at the same University. His main research interests are the synthesis, hemi-synthesis, and functionalization of heterocyclic systems using metal-catalyzed reactions
