Jaemo Yang

Jaemo Yang received the B.S. degree in civil and environmental engineering with Korea University, Seoul, South Korea, in 2009, the M.S. degree in hydraulics/hydrology engineering with Korea University in 2011, and the Ph.D. degree with the Department of Civil and Environmental Engineering, University of Connecticut, Storrs, CT, USA, in 2018. He is currently working toward the Postdoctoral Researcher with the National Renewable Energy Laboratory, Golden, CO, USA in solar forecasting. His research focuses on developing methodologies that are computationally inexpensive to improve numerical weather prediction of extreme weather events, which are defined by the occurrence of high wind speed and/or intense precipitation (i.e., thunderstorms, train/wind events, tropical storms).
