I am a Research Fish Biologist for the US AMLR Program of NOAA Fisheries and a scientific advisor on the US Delegation to the Commission for the Conservation of Antarctic Marine Living Resources (CCAMLR). I study penguins and their interactions with climate and fisheries and my research integrates traditional observational and mark-recapture techniques with animal-borne telemetry and camera systems, autonomous time-lapse photography, uncrewed aerial systems, and machine learning.
