Jens Najorka

Jens Najorka is a mineralogist and received his PhD at the Technical University Berlin in 2001. He worked as researcher at the Ceramics Research Centre of Tata Steel Europe and leads the X-ray diffraction laboratory at the Natural History Museum in London. His main research interests are in crystal chemistry, crystal structure analysis, and thermal analysis of solids. A focus of his current research is structural chemistry, behavior and properties of minerals at non-ambient conditions (high temperature and pressure), with potential applications as functional materials (hydroxide perovskites and natural kagome phases).
