Joan Llobera

Joan Llobera received a double diploma in electrical engineering from Universitat Politècnica de Catalunya (UPC), Barcelona, Spain, and Télécom Paris, Paris, France, in 2004, the M.S. degree in cognitive sciences from the School for Advanced Studies in the Social Sciences, Paris, France, in 2004, the M.S. degree in software from UPC, in 2006, the Ph.D. degree in stories in virtual reality from the Universitat de Barcelona, Barcelona, Spain, in 2012. He is a Senior Researcher at the i2cat Foundation, Barcelona. He is also the Founder of Timepath, Barcelona, a startup devoted to the creation of smart interactive characters for virtual reality experiences. Between 2011 and 2015, he worked as a Postdoctoral Researcher with the Ecole Polytechnique Fédérale de Lausanne, between the Laboratory of Cognitive Neuroscience and the Immersive Interaction Group. His main research interests include virtual reality, cognitive sciences, and content creation.
