Janet L. Stein is Professor of Cell Biology at the University of Massachusetts Medical School in Worcester. She is a graduate of Elizabethtown College in Pennsylvania and of Princeton University, where she was awarded a Ph.D. in Chemistry. Her research interests are focused on regulation of gene expression, primarily at the transcriptional level, during proliferation-differentiation transitions.
