My research interests are to gain a better understanding of how the hippocampus is affected in neurodegenerative diseases such as Huntington’s disease, neurodevelopmental disorders such as Fetal Alcohol Spectrum Disorders, and during aging. I am also interested on whether different therapies aimed at promoting hippocampal function can be of therapeutic value for the mitigation of cognitive deficits that are observed in these disorders of the central nervous system.
