I led the National Cancer Research Institute subgroup in upper GI malignancy, and multiple laboratory collaborations investigating the biology of cancers. I have led a number of landmark studies including the ABC-02 and New EPOC studies. I am chief investigator on multiple studies and serve on a number of committees including the National Institute of Clinical Excellence, CRUK funding committees and other national and international boards. I have a clinical practice at the University College London Hospitals NHS Trusts.
