Her research interests include multidisciplinary therapeutic and translational trials in pancreatic and hepatobiliary cancers. She has been the study chair of a number of clinical trials conducted with the Canadian Clinical Trials Group (CCTG), the U.S. National Cancer Institute, and Pharma and now has more than 250 research publications. Knox’s significant career awards include the Wilfred G. Lewitt Chair in Pancreatic Cancer Research in 2017, and she was recognized in 2019 with a University of Toronto divisional Research Achievement award. Knox’s leadership is felt internationally as she chairs cancer research efforts with the Canadian Cancer Trials Group, the Cholangiocarcinoma Society, and the NCI-US intergroup Task Force for Trials in Hepatobiliary Cancers. She is sought after as a speaker to promote clinical research programs and better patient care strategies.
