Joaquín Alonso-Montesinos

Joaquín Alonso-Montesinos received the Ph.D. degree in applied science to the environment from the University of Almería, Almería, Spain, in 2014. He is a Post-Doctoral Researcher with the University of Almería. He is responsible for the research group “TEP 165 Solar Energetic Resources, Climatology and Atmospheric Physics” at the University of Almería, and the main researcher of the Solar Resources and Solar Cooling of CIESOL Center, Joint Centre of the University of Almería-CIEMAT, Almería, Spain. Under his experience, it is desirable to highlight his participation in different research projects related to solar energy applications for solar power plants and photovoltaics plants, some of them funded by companies and others by the Spanish Competitiveness and Economy Ministry and co-financed by the European Regional Development Fund. He has published more than 50 JCR papers and communications at national and international conferences related to solar radiation forecasting, using special devices like satellite images and sky cameras.
