Graduated in Chemistry in 2013, the same year I began my research career in the group “Cinética Electródica e Instrumentación” (Univ. de Sevilla), where I carried out an electrochemical study of copper onto an ionizable self-assembled monolayers. This work led me to obtaining a master's degree in “Electrochemistry. Science and Technology” in 2014. Later, I obtained a predoctoral grant from the Ministry of Economy and Competitiveness to carry out PhD studies under the supervision of Professor Dr. Juan José Calvente Pacheco and Professor Dr. José Luis Olloqui Sariego at the Department of Physical Chemistry of the University of Seville. The thesis focused on the electrochemical study of biomimetic systems of copper proteins and hemoproteins. My doctoral studies ended in December 2019 (Outstanding Cum Laude, international degree), which have led me to the publication of three scientific articles, a book chapter and several contributions to national and international conferences, taking part of the organizing committee of one from them. During the predoctoral stage, I spent 4 months in the group of Professor Dr. Sergey Shleev at the University of Malmö (Sweden), where I focused my research on the electrochemical study of blue copper proteins on carbon electrodes and whose results have been recently published. Subsequently, through a grant from the “Plan Propio” of the University of Seville, I became part of the Biointeractomics group (Institute of Chemical Research, CSIC-Univ. of Seville) as a postdoctoral researcher. During this postdoctoral stage, my research has been diverted towards the field of biochemistry, carrying out the synthesis and biophysical and functional characterization of mutants of the hemoprotein cytochrome c. The results obtained have led me to the publication of three scientific articles and a contribution to an international conference, as part of the organizing committee. Later, I was part of the group "Chemistry of Biomolecules and Food Processes" (Univ. of Almería) as a postdoctoral researched and I focused on the electrochemical study of multifunctional catalysts for the electrocatalytic production of hydrogen and oxygen coupled to biomass valuation. Parallel to the research activity, I have participated since 2016 in teaching activities in the departments of Physical Chemistry of the Univ. of Seville (467 h), in which I currently have a position as substitute teacher, and the Univ. of Huelva (40 h). My commitment to quality and innovative teaching is manifested in a positive evaluation by the students and in taking courses focused on improving teaching as the Master's Degree in Teaching (MAES).
