Imtiaz Alamgir

Imtiaz Alamgir received the B.Sc. degree in electrical engineering from the Ahsanullah University of Science and Technology, Dhaka, Bangladesh in 2011, the M.Sc degree in optics and photonics from the Karlsruhe Institute of Technology, Karlsruhe, Germany in 2015, and the Ph.D. degree in electrical engineering from McGill University, Montreal, QC, Canada in 2022. During the M.Sc. research, he investigated the electroluminescence mechanism in large diameter carbon nanotubes for the development of on-chip molecular emitters. During the Ph.D. studies, he developed ultrafast mid-infrared pulse generation systems based on soft glass optical fibers. He is currently a Postdoctoral Researcher with Energy, Material, and Telecommunication Division, Institut National de La Recherche Scientifique, Quebec, QC, Canada. His current research interests include nonlinear optics, optical neural network, and quantum optics.
