Ian Woods received his Ph.D. in translational medicine from University College Dublin, Ireland. He has previously worked as a postdoctoral researcher in the Hoey group at Trinity College Dublin, Ireland, developing vesicle-functionalized scaffolds for tissue engineering applications. Currently, he is completing an Irish Research Council Postdoctoral Fellowship on the development of biomaterials for multi-faceted approaches to spinal cord injury repair in the Tissue Engineering Research Group at the Royal College of Surgeons in Ireland. His research interests include, neural tissue engineering, additive manufacturing, immunomodulatory biomaterials and electroconductive scaffold development.
