I-Cherng Chen

I-Cherng Chen was born in Hsinchu, Taiwan, in 1961. He received the B.S. degree in chemistry from Tamkang University, Tamsui, Taiwan, in 1985, the M.S. degree from the Department of Nuclear Science on Radio Chemistry, National Tsing Hua University, Hsinchu, Taiwan, in 1987, and the Ph.D. degree in applied chemistry from the National Chiao Tung University, Hsinchu, Taiwan, in 2001. In September 1987, he joined the Materials Research Laboratories, Industrial Technology Research Institute, where he is dedicated to the development of chemical sensors materials and technology for 13 years. In 2006, he joined the Micro Systems Technology Center, Southern of Industrial Technology Research Institute. His focus is on the topics of integrating MEMS and NEMS with nanostructure materials to nanodevice. Currently, he was involved with nanoscale 1-D semiconductors and theirs electrodevice application.
