James Hunter

James Hunter is a Research and Development Scientist at the Los Alamos National Laboratory, Los Alamos, New Mexico, USA, where he is a member of the Non-Destructive Testing Group and is team leader for the special engineering team. Since starting as a student at LANL 17 years ago, he has written much of LANL’s tomography reconstruction code and has worked with a range of X-ray systems from small micro-focus cabinets to a 6-20 MeV Microtron based system. His current work involves both production and R&D imaging on a huge range of components with both lab-based X-ray systems as well as synchrotron beam lines and neutron imaging facilities.
