Hugo Avila

Hi, I'm Hugo! I am an alumni of the MacKay lab at the USC School of Pharmacy. There, I worked with the elastin-like polypeptide framework to engineer biological tools and drug carriers for targeted delivery. I used a range of instrumentation for cloning, expression, purification, and characterization using DLS, HPLC, MALDI-TOF, and SR confocal imaging. Now, I'm an Advisor at Eli Lilly Gen Med (Tox) working on drug target development and high throughput qRT- PCR screens of novel molecules.
