Significant contributions lie in ceramic composites for both ambient and elevated temperatures, as well as complex oxides and heterostructures in the form of either solid or thin films for electronic and energy storage devices. Main research areas cover: a) Intelligent thermal structures for aerospace; (b) Structural ceramics and their composites for high temperature applications; (c) Interfacial study in complex oxides or heterostructures; (d) Polymer composite dielectrics for energy storage and electrocaloric effect.
