Alice Howarth

I work to optimise in vitro assays for assessing the biodistribution of nano-based medicines (NBMs) as part of the Horizon 2020 funded REFINE (Regulatory Science Framework for Nano(bio)material-based Medical Products and Devices) project. This includes the use of cell based models of biological membranes such as those found in the GI system and the blood vessels and the use of bio-analytical techniques such as LC-MS/MS to detect and quantitate NBM components.
