Hirohiko Tanaka was born in Gifu, Japan, in 1986. He received the Dr.Eng. degree from Nagoya University, Nagoya, Japan, in 2011. From 2011 to 2016, he was an Assistant Professor with the National Institute for Fusion Science, Gifu. He is currently an Assistant Professor with Nagoya University. His current research interests include plasma detachment and convective plasma transport in various magnetic confinement fusion devices.
