个人简介
He has been a leader and collaborator on interdisciplinary and transdisciplinary national and international projects. His research focuses on modeling theories, methodologies, and frameworks that can support developing composable, multi-scale heterogeneous systems of systems. Basic research spans poly-formalism modeling, distributed simulation, software-hardware-physical systems, agent-based simulation, collaborative model engineering, and software engineering. The applications of these research topics include cyber-physical systems, accelerated network-on-chips, socio-environmental systems, enterprise supply-chain engineering and planning, cellular system biology, and service-oriented computing. He has been leading and developing modeling and simulation frameworks and tools at ASU, including the flagship DEVS-Suite simulator, serving research and development at the science and engineering frontiers. His research has received four Technical Best-Paper Awards (2003, 2017), two Runner-up Technical Best-Paper Awards (2011, 2019), and the Best Poster Award (2020). Sarjoughian has chaired more than sixty mater’s and ten doctorate students in Computer Science and Computer Engineering. He co-founded and co-directs the Arizona Center for Integrative Modeling and Simulation. He is a Certified Modeling and Simulation Professional.
