Hermes Kamimura completed his graduate studies at University of Sao Paulo, Brazil with research internships at Mayo Clinic and Columbia University. He received the award for the best 2016 Ph.D. dissertation in the field of medical physics by the Brazilian Physical Society. His research interests lie in the development of therapeutic ultrasound spanning both ultrasound neuromodulation and ultrasound-mediated blood-brain barrier disruption for targeted drug delivery in the central nervous system.
