Bachelor's degree in Biological Sciences, with a master's and a doctoral degree in Pharmacology. As a visiting researcher at the Universitätsmedizin Göttingen (Germany) studied protein aggregation and mitochondrial dysfunction. Worked investigating the effects of post-translational modifications in Alzheimer's, Parkinson's, and Huntington's diseases using molecular biology techniques and has extensive experience in in vitro and in vivo models of neurodegenerative diseases.
