Hassan Mehdian

Hassan Mehdian was born in Serkan, Hamadan, Iran, on June 26, 1953. He received the B.S. degree in physics from Tarbiat Moallem University (Teacher Training University), Tehran, Iran, in 1975 and the Ph.D. degree in physics from the University of Missouri, Colombia, in 1981. In 1981, he joined the Physics Department, Tarbiat Moallem University, as a Faculty Member, where he is currently a Professor of physics. He established the Graduate School in Physics in the Department of Physics and founded the Institute for Plasma Research at Tarbiat Moallem University. His research areas are in plasma physics and FEL. He has been a member of the Editorial Board of the Journal of Sciences, Islamic Republic of Iran, since 1983.
