I am appointed University Professor, on a tenure track pathway, since September 2009 at the University of Sao Paulo (USP). My research areas comprise the use of diffraction methods and synchrotron radiation to investigate the microstructure-properties relations, residual stresses and texture in engineering materials, e.g. Mg- and Ti-alloys, HSLA and stainless steels, under manufacture and service conditions, physical vapor deposition of coatings/multilayers and plasma treatments of surfaces.
