Hans D. Robinson

Hans D. Robinson received the Licence and Maîtrise degrees from the École Normale Supérieure de Lyon, Lyon, France, in 1994 and 1995, respectively, and the Ph.D. degree from Boston University, Boston, MA, USA, in 2000, all in physics. From 2000 to 2005, he held a post-doctoral fellowship with the University of California at Los Angeles, Los Angeles, CA, USA. He joined the faculty of the Virginia Polytechnic Institute and State University, Blacksburg, VA, USA, in 2005, where he is currently an Associate Professor of Physics. His research interests are broadly in the area of nanooptics, with a focus on plasmonic, particularly as it relates to nonlinear optics and photochemistry, and with applications in the areas such as nanoassembly and optical nanosensing. He is a member of the American Physical Society, the American Chemical Society, and the Materials Research Society.
