Hannah Elliott is a Research Fellow at the MRC Integrative Epidemiology Unit at the University of Bristol. Following a degree in Biomedical Sciences and an MRes in Biomolecular Sciences, she joined the mitochondrial research group at Newcastle University, completing a PhD in epidemiology of mtDNA point mutations in 2007. During 2008 she began research in the field of epigenetics, firstly miRNAs and later DNA methylation. In 2012 she secured an Oak Foundation Research Fellowship at the University of Bristol. Currently based at the MRC IEU, she continues to pursue her interest in epigenetic epidemiology focussing on cardio metabolic disease.
