Between 2008 and 2016 I was Associate Editor of the Australian and New Zealand Journal of Obstetrics and Gynaecology. of the Editorial Board of ‘Ultrasound in Obstetrics and Gynaecology’. I am married with two sons and live in the Blue Mountains, west of Sydney, Australia. Over the last 20 years I have had a special interest in diagnostic imaging, especially as it relates to pelvic floor dysfunction. At present, we have a number of research projects at Nepean Hospital, Prince of Wales and RPA Hospitals in Sydney, and research cooperations with units in Australia, New Zealand and US, all aimed at investigating pelvic floor dysfunction, its diagnosis, aetiology, primary / secondary prevention and treatment. Other scientific interests include the problem of bias in the planning, execution and publication of research, and ethical issues of the research-industry interface.
