H.M. Tuihedur Rahman

Trained as an interdisciplinary researcher, I aim to develop theories, frameworks and analytical tools to help manage multi-scaler policy and decision-making challenges with mutual learning and participatory research approaches. My overall research agendas are conceptually built upon coupled social-ecological system, institutional analysis and rural development theories, and empirically investigate socio-economically marginalized rural and culturally diverse Indigenous communities who depend on natural resource systems including lands, wetlands and forests for their subsistence. I use both qualitative and quantitative analytical methods with primary and secondary data collection from stakeholder and key informant interviews, focus group discussions, surveys and secondary documents.
