Gunnar Dressler

I'm a postdoctoral researcher at the Helmholtz Centre for Environmental Research - UFZ, Leipzig, where I'm part of the Junior Research Group POLISES. My research focusses on understanding the dynamics of social-ecological resource use systems under global change, especially investigating the impacts of policy instruments and new technologies on local land-use strategies, and the emergence of polarization and poverty traps. I am working mostly with agent-based models, where I'm specifically interessted in a better representation of human decision-making.
