I am currently working on the evaluation of the expression of virulence factors in vitro and ex vivo, animal models of fungal infections, the use of natural products and bioactive molecules with antifungal activity and the investigation of mechanisms of action on the fungal cell, genotypic and phenotypic characterizations, susceptibility testing to commercially available antifungals, molecular identification, gene expression, phylogenetic and proteomic analyses of clinically relevant fungi.
