Prof. Yu currently directs the Center for NanoTech for Energy, Environment, & Sustainability (NEES), with key research focuses on creative design and synthesis of functional nanostructured materials, particularly organic and hybrid nanomaterials, fundamental understanding of their chemical and physical properties, and developing nanoscience-enabled solutions to address key challenges in energy, environment and sustainability technologies.
