Giovanni Antonio Costanzo

Giovanni A. Costanzo was born in San Benedetto del Tronto, Italy, in 1964. He received the master’s degree in electronic engineering from the University of Ancona, Ancona, Italy, in 1989, and the Ph.D. degree in metrology from the Politecnico di Torino, Torino, Italy, in 1995, with a dissertation on the development and evaluation of the high-C-field Cs beam frequency standard. He then went to NRLM, Tsukuba, Japan, as a Post-Doctoral Fellow, to work on the realization of the laser system necessary for the Cs fountain. He is currently an Associate Professor of measurements systems and sensors with the Politecnico di Torino. His research interests include frequency metrology.
