Gian-Kasper Plattner has joined the office of the Director at the Swiss Federal Research Institute WSL in January 2016. Before, he was Director of Science and Head of the IPCC WGI Technical Support Unit at the University of Bern, Switzerland. He has a PhD in climate and environmental physics and has held research positions at the University of California, Los Angeles, the University of Bern and at ETH Zurich.
