My research areas are quantum information theory and quantum computing. My main results are the proof of an entropic inequality which was a ten-year longstanding conjecture in quantum communication theory and the proposal of a quantum generalization of optimal mass transport. Currently, I am focusing my research on quantum computing, with the goals to ideate new quantum algorithms for machine learning and to improve the theoretical understanding of the capabilities of quantum computers.
