I am a tropical ecologist focusing on the interaction betweens humans and tropical ecosystems. My research focuses on the Caribbean Coast of Nicaragua where rapid changes to human systems are leading to major impacts on both terrestrial and marine systems. In turn, these impacts have cascading effects on other natural and human systems.
