The research activities of the group encompass the study of the structure and dynamics of peptides and proteins involved in signaling pathways, proteolysis and ion/metal transfer. To this framework the group applies protocols and methods for (a) Protein expression, purification and labeling (uniform, selective, specific and segmental labeling of proteins) for biophysical, conformational dynamics and functional studies of biomolecules, (b) NMR spectroscopy for the structure, dynamics and interaction of proteins (E3 Ubiquitin Ligases, Heme enzymes, RNA & nucleotide-binding proteins, viral proteins, etc.), and Molecular modeling & Biomolecular simulations in structure-based drug design and (c) NMR-based metabolomics studies of biological samples (urine samples, serum or plasma, tissues, etc.)
