George F. Farris

George F. Farris (SM’03) received the Ph.D. degree in psychology from the University of Michigan, Ann Arbor, MI. He is currently Professor II of Management Emeritus at Rutgers University, Newark, NJ, where he was the Founding Director of the Technology Management Research Center and the Acting Dean of the Graduate School of Management. Previously he has taught at York University, Toronto, ON, Canada, the European Institute for Advanced Studies in Management, Brussels, Belgium, and the Massachusetts Institute of Technology, Cambridge, MA. Dr. Farris has been the Editor-in-Chief of the IEEE Transactions on Engineering Management and Division Chair of the Technology and Innovation Management Division of the Academy of Management. He is a Fellow of the American Association for the Advancement of Science, where he was cited for “seminal contributions to the understanding of organizations and personnel practices in the furtherance of technological innovation and the management of technology.”
