I was born in Quebec City in 1965. I graduated in 1988 from Laval University with a Bachelor of Applied Science (Honours) in Engineering Physics. I obtained a Master of Mathematics (Computer Science) at the University of Waterloo in 1991. I completed Medical School at the University of Toronto in 1995 and was certified by the Royal College of Physicians and Surgeons of Canada in Internal Medicine (1999) and Geriatric Medicine (2000). I obtained a Master of Science in Health Research Methodology from McMaster University in 2006. Finally, I obtained my Hockey Trainer Certification (Level 1) in 2010.
