My research focus sits at the interface between biomaterials and the application of those as drug delivery systems for cancer theranostics. Over the years I have built a strong expertise on the development of novel formulations, mainly liposome-based nanocarriers, for the delivery of therapeutic agents as well as imaging agents. My main interests include the development of novel nanomedicines, multifunctional/stimuli-responsive nanocarriers, cancer immuno-chemotherapy, cancer immunology, adoptive cell transfer, T-cell therapy, and novel imaging agents.
