I did my undergratuate studies in Physical Education at UFRGS, while doing research as an undergrad studying Inborn errors of metabolism for over two years. I did a 1-year abroad period in the Netherlands, at the University of Groningen with a full scholarship from the brazilian agency CNPq. Currently, I am interested in studying the interactions between inflammation immune system in neurodegenerative diseases, specially with emphasys on glial cells. I have experience with animal models (rodents), including stereotaxic surgery and behavioral testing, cell culture methods, immunoblotting, histochemistry and other biochemical assays.
