Graduated in agriculture and obtained his master’s and doctoral degrees in agricultural microbiology from Tamil Nadu Agricultural University, Coimbatore. Joined the Agricultural Research Service of the Indian Council of Agricultural Research in the year 2001, at the ICAR- Vivekananda Parvatiya Krishi Anusandhan Sansthan, Almora. In the year 2009, he moved to the ICAR- Indian Institute of Horticultural Research (ICAR-IIHR), Bengaluru, as Senior Scientist. Presently works as Principal Scientist.
