My work as a professor is equal parts teaching and research. As a teacher, much of my effort is devoted to teaching non-science students about the universe. As a researcher, my main interests include galaxy evolution, cosmology, and supermassive black hole activity, with a particular emphasis on what clusters of galaxies have to teach us about these topics.
