个人简介
My work focuses on the transcription system of African Swine Fever Virus (ASFV) a nucleocytoplasmic large DNA virus (NCLDV). The ASFV transcription system is extremely similar to that of eukaryotic RNAPII (though streamlined) with a homologous RNAP and basal transcription factors. Therefore, my aim is to use a combination of structural, sequencing and biochemical techniques to characterise this transcription system, hopefully identifying putative pharmaceutical targets to combat the disease.
