Ryuichi Fujimoto

Ryuichi Fujimoto is an associate professor at Kanazawa University. He received his BS, MS, and Ph.D. degrees in physics from the University of Tokyo in 1991, 1993, and 1996, respectively. He was a research associate at the Institute of Space and Astronautical Science from 1995 to 2006, and an associate professor at Kanazawa University from 2006 to 2023. He devoted himself to the XRS experiments onboard ASTRO-E and ASTRO-E2 (Suzaku), and to the SXS experiment onboard ASTRO-H (Hitomi). He is currently working on the Resolve instrument onboard XRISM (X-Ray Imaging and Spectroscopy Mission). His current research interests include high-energy astrophysics, high-resolution X-ray spectroscopy, instrumentation, and cryogenics.
