Frederic Lamoth

Born in Vevey (Switzerland) in 1975, Frederic Lamoth is a Swiss medical doctor with board certification in general internal medicine (FMH), infectious diseases (FMH) and medical microbiology (FAMH). He is currently working at Lausanne University Hospital (CHUV) as associate physician and is privat-docent and senior lecturer (MERc) at the University of Lausanne. His research is dedicated to invasive fungal infections (i.e. invasive aspergillosis, invasive candidiasis, mucormycosis), covering all aspects of medical mycology from basic research (mechanisms of antifungal resistance and pathogenesis) to clinical research (epidemiology, diagnosis and treatment of invasive fungal infections).
