Associate Professor Fraser Russell BSc (Deakin), PhD (Melb.) After being awarded his PhD from the University of Melbourne in 1994, Fraser completed post-doctoral appointments at Cambridge University, UK (1994-1998), University of Otago, NZ (1998-2000) and Queensland University, Australia (2000-2004). He joined the University of the Sunshine Coast in 2005 where he lectures in Pharmacology and Biochemistry and conducts research in the field of Cardiovascular Pharmacology. Current research includes a trial examining the efficacy of omega-3 fatty acids for modulation of immune cell function in patients with abdominal aortic aneurysm and investigation of bee honey and cerumen constituents for antiinflammatory and antioxidant activity.
