How brain function emerges from neuronal activity is a fundamental question of neuroscience that has yet to be answered. I’m interested to understand how activity in neuronal networks supports learning and memory. A better understanding of this network dynamic is not only crucial to establish how synaptic plasticity underlies learning but also important in identifying potential pharmacological targets related to pathological memories like post-traumatic stress disorder.
