I am a biologist interested in applying principles derived from optimization theory to analyze how the fauna is affected by various factors. Currently, I am focused on understanding better how human activities affect biodiversity, particularly in urban and suburban environments. I continue using mammals as animal models, but I am also asking questions on the challenges for other animals associated with the modifications that humans make to environments.
