Dr. Candido dos Reis is Head of the Department of Gynecology and Obstetrics, Ribeirao Preto Medical School, University of Sao Paulo, Brazil. His research is focused on prognostic factors in gynecological malignant tumors. He had received his education at University of Sao Paulo, Ribeirao Preto Medical School. His international experience includes one year at Brigham and Women’s Hospital (Boston – USA) and two years at University of Cambridge (UK).

Dr. Candido dos Reis cares for patients with gynecologic and breast cancer. His principal area of clinical practice relates to radical surgery for advanced ovarian cancer and cancer of uterine cervix. He is also trained in minimally invasive surgery in gynecologic oncology. Among his research projects he has investigated the neoadjuvant chemotherapy followed by radical surgery in cancer of cervix and advanced ovarian cancer.

At a national level, Dr. Candido dos Reis is a member of the Gynecologic Oncology National Committee of The Brazilian Federation of Gynecology and Obstetrics and of the National Committee for Board Certification in Gynecology and Obstetrics.
