Francesco Antonelli is Professor of Sociology, Political Science Department, Università degli Studi “Roma Tre” where he coordinates the degree program in “Politics, Cooperation and Development”. He is the coordinator of the Horizon2020 Project “PARTICIPATION. Analysing and Preventing Violent Extremism via Participation” (2020-2023). He was work package leader in the Horizon2020 Project "TRIVALENT. Terrorism Preventive via Radicalisation Counter-Narrative" (2017-2020). He is the Secretary of the RC “Sociological Theory and Social Transformations” at the Italian Association of Sociology (AIS). He was Visiting Professor at Instut Catholique de Paris, at EHESS in Paris, at Universidade de São Paulo, at Universidade do Minho in Braga, at GESIS-EUROLAB in Köln and at La Trobe University in Melbourne. His main research interestes are: social theory; technoscience, politics and society; violent extremism; labour market; gender studies.
